What is BukAI

BukAI is an AI-powered cross-language phone agent service. When you're abroad and can't speak the local language, just tell BukAI what you need ("book a dentist appointment for tomorrow" or "cancel last week's hotel reservation"), and an AI agent will make a real phone call in the local language on your behalf, then bring back the results clearly.

Why we do this

Our founding team has lived abroad for many years. Everyone has experienced situations like wanting to reserve a restaurant that only accepts phone bookings, needing to make a doctor's appointment but unable to describe symptoms, or trying to cancel a subscription only to get stuck in voice menus. These "small things" seem trivial, but they can ruin your whole day. Asking friends for help creates social pressure; hiring professional interpreters costs hundreds of dollars and takes time. We realized that AI voice capabilities are now good enough — there should be a product that works like your personal secretary, making calls and getting things done instantly.

Technology & Security

BukAI is built on Google Gemini Live real-time voice models and LiveKit's global low-latency audio/video infrastructure, completing every call through real SIP/PSTN telephone networks. We use an enumerated task type system where each task has clearly defined execution scope and safety boundaries. All call results are encrypted in storage, strictly complying with data privacy regulations, and user information is never used for advertising purposes.

Future Vision

Currently, BukAI supports phone communication in Japanese, Korean, and English, covering four core scenarios: restaurant reservations, hospital appointments, cancellations/returns, and government affairs inquiries. We will continue expanding supported languages and task types, and plan to open API and MCP services to developers and personal agents, enabling every application to have cross-language phone communication capabilities.
